Basic Blocks

LOW SECTION BLOCK

The purpose of this block is to block an attack to the lower part of your body, such as a kick to your upper leg. You block just above your knee (same arm as knee), with the side of your wrist (the hard part).


MID SECTION BLOCK

The purpose of this block is to block an attack to the middle section of your body.
You block with the hard part of your wrist.


HIGH SECTION BLOCK

The function of a high section block is to protect yourself from an attack to the head, when the attacker is attacking in a downwards motion, for example, a knife attack.
